Recollections…

A morning recollection…

‘Earth fills her lap with pleasures of her own;
Yearnings she hath in her own natural kind,
And, even with something of a mother’s mind,
And no unworthy aim,
The homely nurse doth all she can
To make her foster child, her inmate man,
Forget the glories he hath known
And that imperial palace whence he came.”

~William Wordsworth

  1. I rarely go back to Wordsworth, but there are sections of his “Intimations of Immortality” that I really like. This is a nice selection, and the image you’ve paired it with is perfect!

      Thank you, Linda. The photo is clicked at a mangrove near Saigon. One of the largest mangroves in Asia.
