BRING me the sunset in a cup…
BRING me the sunset in a cup,
Reckon the morning’s flagons up,
And say how many dew;
I imagine a cup filled with sunset whenever these lines come to my mind. It’s a favourite of mine and I love the authoritative tone of this Dickinson poem. When I clicked these photos I could feel the excitement of sipping sunset from a wine glass.
Down went the orange red sun leaving the afterglow all around. A year has come to a close! May the year to come bring us all many cups and glasses of Sunshine and Joy! Let our cups of contentment brimmeth over…
Cheers to the new year with a glass of sunshine!
Beginning of the new year is always a time of Gratitude and Remembrance… Grateful for all the blessings in your life and remembering all the loved ones who are away from you. Thanking the presence of new friends who have become your family, remembering the good times you spent with those who have gone away from you.
Outside the window the air is warm and jubilant, Saigon river and bridge look all decked up to receive the year to come. People started thronging the streets to watch the fireworks…night is young.
2015 was a cocktail of happy-sad-disappointing-exciting experiences. Have enjoyed some of the best of intoxicating sunrises, sunsets, skies, clouds, moon and Nature. Turned to Nature when met with disappointments, got closer to her; enjoyed the warmth of unconditional love of dear ones. My heart swells with gratitude for the blessings in my Life, for this beautiful planet called Earth!
“Hope
Smiles from the threshold of the year to come,
Whispering ‘it will be happier’…”
― Alfred Lord Tennyson
Cheers to the year 2016!
Beautiful!!
